"The move is somewhat surprising, as Traficant's voting record has become increasingly Republican since he bucked party loyalty and backed Hastert last year, losing his Democratic committee posts. On the 204 issues that divided most Democrats from the majority of Republicans, Traficant sided with the GOP more than 90 percent of the time, according to Congressional Quarterly. But the strategy may have proved the most palatable for state Republicans attempting to make nice with House Democrats who had threatened to launch statewide campaigns if their seats were eliminated."

Yep Flapper, Traficant is a disgrace to America and mostly to his constituents, he has never been a Democrat, more like a moron, owned by the mob, but recruited by the Republican Party until they realized they were recruiting a mobster. Nonetheless he voted with the Republicans on most issues.

But he is a democrat, and he is a crook flapjack. That a member of your party would betray his party is not surprising. Whether it is Rostenkowski or Traficant, or the un-American democrat b*tch Cynthia McKinney from Georgia that is accusing the President of knowing about 9-11-01 before it happened, I like to point the lack of morality in your party, which I think is on of the biggest weakness of the democratic party.

Hypocricy is the other. I noticed how Gephart thinks this guy should go because he broke the law, but it was ok for Clinton to break the law. Hypocricy is just as bad of a problem as the immoral nature of your leaders.

That he voted republican on most issues just means he was a smart crook. But a democrat crook none the less.
