INDEPENDENT UN.. You've got to be kidding. Like the UN helped control the situation in Lebanon? Like Independent UN forces (the DUTCH) helped the Bosnian's in Screbinitza (sp), or controlled the border when Nassar told them to leave. The UN would just serve as a sponsorship group for Arab Terror, just like they allow Hezbolla to shell Israel today, acted at least in complicity if not directly in the kidnapping of Israeli solgiers, and act as a shield to protect Hezbolla missle launchers which are located right next to UN facilities on purpose.

There was precious little access to the war zones in Afghanistan, and very little coverage of the bomb damage on American tv, though I'm told Al Jazeera had extensive coverage of the damage. Do you remember any footage from, say, Mazar al Sharif as the the Northern Alliance fought its way in and the American bombs fell?
