the palestinian leadership does not want to co-exist with israel. wasn't it the syrians, egyptians, and lebanese who attacked israel in the first place which event led to the displacement of the palestinians? or is that event conveniently "forgotten"? i, for one, am glad we have israel as an ally in the area because i know that under their watchful eye some crazed raghead won't be able to develop/deploy a nuclear bomb or such. they will act pre-emptively

Syl, you may want to read the article that Theodore posted: worldnetdaily.com The problem is much bigger, the Arabs with 99% of the land mass in the Mid-East simply refuse to accept what they consider a "foreign element" of infidels, the Jewish state of Israel. They tried a number of times to eradicate that state and will try again. History teaches that unless those armies are defeated badly, they will not come to the talking table. The Palestinians are pawns in that struggle, and it is about time Europe learns the lessons of its own history, appeasement leads to disasters. Zeev Zeev Zeev

Arab homocide bombers dont blow themselves up as a result of their frustration: They do it because : 1) they get their pictures blown up on walls in the West Bank and Gaza 2) They get the glory and envy of the other young maniplulated minds of their souless friends" 3) their families get $25,000 from Saddam. Do you have any idea how much $25,000 is to a Palestinian family? Little wonder they dont start to strap bombs to their babies and hurl them into crowds.
