Israel cannot relinquish the Golan Heights until Syria is made into a non-adversary. After the Iraqi and Iranian problems are settled in our own war on terror, the Syrian problem must be addressed. This may take several forms, not the least of which is assisting Turkey in taking the entire country out. We can hope for a less radical solution, of course, but our war must be won, and that means, also, that Israel's war must be won. The only alternative is an Islamic Third World running wild, murdering everyone they can get close to. This is a long-run war. And, as Bush has said many times, it must be taken seriously. It cannot be left to fester until another Clinton comes along and surrenders. In 50 years, if we are not successful, your will see a West bent upon suppression of the entire Islamic religion. And that's not a world we should want to create...
