Authorities say the boy flew to New York with the drug-filled condoms in his belly. But they say he got sick before meeting whoever had promised him $1,900 to act as a contraband courier -- also known as a mule. Court records show the boy's father is in prison in Virginia, after being convicted in 1995 for his role in a drug ring that imported huge amounts of heroin into Georgia over a decade. Officials say most of the condoms had left the boy's system by last night. His case will be handled in family court. The boy arrived alone at Kennedy Airport Wednesday on a flight from London. Police say he hailed a cab and went to a Brooklyn address, but no one was there. He then went to LaGuardia Airport before getting sick. Authorities don't know for whom the boy was carrying the heroin. startribune.com
