OT RE: JDSU stock vs options:

If I sell puts, I have to keep in reserve cash (or margin ability), to buy the stock at 5, the exact same amount of cash as if I buy the stock at 5 now. What's the difference?

The fact that JDSU is sinking below 5, is a negative. If the Nas takes out the 9/01 lows, then my ability to buy at the bottom, will be affected, if I'm holding stock at <5$/share.
