snook, True enough. But this early in the year for threes, that can be said for all colts until they start banging heads for larger purses. That's what makes these prep races so intriguing. I've seen too many races won by horses just emerging from a NW1X and winning at nice odds against colts who began their careers earlier to discount one like Buddha. And at their age they can often turn their form around in a twink. Look at War Emblem. He lost to Repent, subsequently walked away from a bunch of bums, then came back to trounce Repent, a horse lotsa people loved (I wasn't one of them, having previously told Knighty Tin just that). Anyway, these prep races are all about establishing class. But the starting point is if a colt can run fast. Buddha can. R
