Don't ask too many questions about the past.. We had a lot to do with the birth of the Taliban, too, back when the Russians invaded. I think they have found stinger missiles, too. What matters is what is happening today. TK

The Taliban use books that were prepared by the US government to encourage Jihad against the Soviets. Problem of course that the Taliban continued to use them for other causes as well. Besides, we oppose bans against weapon's sales to third world countries. It might negatively impact US defense company revenue streams. The US kept Pinochet in power for a couple of decades, the Shah Iran..Marcos was a "good guy" for a few decades; we put Castro into power..... jttmab
