This is an "Image" situation to a large degree,


I wish it were true. However, we have two historical moments, in 53 and later in Lebanon that say something more than image is involved. As for Bibi, I definitely agree with you there.

Who would have believed, say, five years ago, that our choices would be between Bibi and Ariel? The world does change.

...we are going to get "Bibi" next. He will do more against the Palestinians than Sharon, but he comes over much better.

*Only* for Americans (though we knew this). I can't emphasize enough the significance of the fact that he speaks truly native language level american English, and how little use this will be communicating his intentions to Europeans, or the rest of the world, even those who themselves are quite fluent in English. He will say things that will be understood perfectly here, and imperfectly there.

This is on top of the fact that the Europeans (well, the French) detest him already, likening him to Haider, or worse.
