As suggested on cnbc the other night, if and/or when we get the first suicide bomber in the US, then that will grab the media attention. Somehow this country is not ready to have armed guards in every kindergarten as they do in Israel.

Mideast Crisis:
Good analysis. When I study the situation, I generally find that, although there's lots of news, the facts I seek are never mentioned. In how much of the mid-east are Jews a majority? Are the Palestinians in refugee camps and conquered territories allowed to vote in Israeli elections? What has been the effect of the escalating violence on the original plan to encourage Jews to return to their homeland,i.e. has the immigration slowed or stopped? These questions get to the heart of what the conflict is all about, but are never asked, let alone answered. Bottom line is just what you concluded: The Jews and Palestinians have been in contention for decades at least, and no end is in sight, yet we had a great secular bull market through some of the worst periods of violence.
