Ooooops, sorry. Posted on a verboten subject before I read your post.

I humbly ask your indulgence, thread master, for my grievous mistake. I assure you it won't ever happen again.

Ken,

I appreciate where you are coming from in your request. Personally, I am extremely concerned about the situation in the middle east and the possibility the conflict expanding beyond Israel. This board is the single best site on the web for me to stay well informed of the facts and myths of the conflict. I also get exposed to multiple sides of the issues. Given the potential danger of the current situation I request that you encourage discussion on this thread. I feel it is urgent.

Thank you,
Paul

It might be added that there are at least three threads specializing on the Mideast situation:

Middle East Politics
#subject-51285
The Arab-Israeli Solution
#subject-51057
WAR on Terror. Will it engulf the Entire Middle East?
#subject-51912

... and even on the AMD thread there have been Mideast discussions, sometimes as hot as an Athlon.

More general war-related subjects:

... and for those "sick of the whole thing" SI offers

The Vomitorium
