re: Food Fight in Korea!

Mike at Mobile Communications writes:

Unconfirmed reports out of Korea tell of a spat between Nokia CEO Jorma Ollila and South Korean Minister for Information and Technology, Yang Seung-taik.

The word is that the minister was indignant at Ollila's claim that Korean handsets were only achieving 20kbps rather than the 144kbps advertised.

Brandishing his own handset, Yang boasted that he had recently downloaded mp3s onto the device.

To which provocation, Ollila responded by flourishing his 9210 Communicator in a threatening manner and braying, "So what, mine's bigger than yours!"

The argument then descended into an extravagant food fight - quite a spectacle when chopsticks and noodles are involved. Boys and their toys, eh?

Mike added:

Actually, I made that last bit up.

... but it was a good story ...

... more zip to it than the dry unconfirmed report out of the Digital Chosumbo.
