And it is quite clear that the Israelis did intentionally and knowingly fire on and sink a US Navy vessel in international waters. And got away with it.

Are the Arabs blameless? Not hardly.

Don't you start feeling like a patsy?

The US involvement makes no sense, it only enriches those who gain politically & financially, and the warlords.
US involvement means more to the belligerents than their own arguments, methinks.

We're patsies to the world, who whine about our involvement, or lack of involvement, but who want our way of life, our cash, and our military intervention.

If we were not the backup for Israel, they'd decide to negotiate something reasonable.

It isn't the American people that vote for this stuff, it's our politicians in Congress and Administration that make us patsies, and they should be removed, wholesale.

One of the annoying things about research is depending, at times, on specific people being available. Damn inconsiderate that they go on vacation in April.

For one thing, it was originally stated by Israel that those settlements were just temporary and were intended as bargaining chips to force the Palestinians to the bargaining table.
Yeah, right, anyone want to buy a bridge? I've got the deed to the Golden Gate in my pocket.

You might think that after three decades of building settlements more people would catch on.

In the light of that, it is easy to see why Israel feels it must be armed to the teeth and why it wants a buffer zone of former Arab territory around itself.

Very understandable. No one is blameless, it's a perpetual game of blame. We did this because you did that, which we did because you did that.....all the way back to Abraham dumped his Palestinian wife, because his Jewish wife finally had a child.
