Ted, the liberation of Korea came about without resorting to terrorism. The liberation of the Jews came about without resorting to terrorism.

Ten, part of Korea is yet to be liberated and the other part was liberated due to military intervention. And when you think of the literal meaning of terrorism....a military intervention probably pretty much fits that definition.

The Jews were liberated by the Holocaust which when you stop to think about it was also a form of terrorism.

Look at the motives behind the suicide bombers, and you'll find they aren't doing it just for independence. They are doing it for power. They are doing it for dominance. And none of the sob-stories of poverty is going to make me feel any more sympathy for the terrorists or those who harbor them.

Did you read the article I posted from the Seattle Times? Israel is a major military power in the world......probably in the top ten. I do not condone at all the suicide bombings but from where I am sitting they look like the desperate measures of a desperate people. Clearly, the Palestinians' sticks, stones and rifles are little match for the Israeli army. So what they have done is come up with a method of getting the Israelis' attention, hurting them and also getting the world's attention focused on their plight by blowing one of their own up in the midst of Israelis. Its horrific and terrifying and forces the world to deal with the situation.

The Israelis are hell bent in trying to make the Palestinians look evil.....and maybe Arafat and the Hamas leaders are. But I don't think the suicide bombers are evil......I think they are pathetic. And I don't think the Palestinians in general are evil but desperate. And I don't buy this sh*t that they want the Israelis gone. They may say it but I don't think they believe it.

But it doesn't matter what I think.......what matters is that both sides get to better understand how each other thinks. Arafat and Sharon are the worst examples of people who should be in charge of the Palestinians and Israelis, one plays the victim and is a liar; the other is a tyrant.

There is an old Star Trek that I saw a few years back on Nick at nite or something. There were two races on this planet. One was half black and half white; the other half white and half black. They hated each other and by the time the Enterprise was in orbit, there was only one of each left.....and they were still trying to kill each other. Of course, Kirk and his crew tried to reason with the two people that were left. But neither were having it......they were disgusted by each other and one went as far as to say that the other's coloring was on the wrong side and probably led to his vulgarity. Their arguments and biases were ridiculous. In the end, Kirk gave up and left them to their murderous rampage.

Our own feuds between races and countries are nearly as senseless.

re: The Jews were liberated by the Holocaust

do you get an impression that Ted does not care for Palestinians at all and just trying to pick a fight?

His voice will be heard even if it would mean death to both sides, coming from Russia, it sounds so familiar......

Should we tell him that no matter how he tries he is not in position to top Stalin or Hitler......
