many defining aspects of our political system were implemented as a result of short-sightedness or last-minute
compromise. Dahl highlights those elements of the American system that are most unusual and potentially antidemocratic:
the federal system, the bicameral legislature, judicial review, presidentialism, and the electoral college system.

Well, we were trying to establish a REPUBLIC, with democratic Principles. Is this professor deaf, dumb and blind or was his math instruction so poor he is unable to conceive of 50, count 'em FIFTY sovereign states inhabited by citizens of all stripes?

There is only one obvious mistake in the Constitution....slavery was allowed....while contending that all men are created equal......

"unusual" and "potentially" undemocratic? Hmm. That's an "unusual" and "potentially" incorrect analysis. Btw, we're a democratic republic. Maybe that was lost on the author.
