Ummmm....

I've snorkeled down there. A lot. Mostly on the Sea of Cortez side. 10 years ago there were so many fish that sometimes you literally couldn't see through the schools. Commonly there were several thousand fish in easy view.

That started changing and the number has been steadily dropping. Now they're getting scarce. About a year ago I found out why. Mexico had sold fishing rights in the Sea of Cortez to Japanese factory ships.
