There is mounting evidence that Bush cut a deal around July 2000 with Sharon to sabotage Clinton's peace talks at Camp David. As quid-pro-quo Bush gave Sharon a free hand in dealing with the Palestinians without any U.S. input. Bush wanted to deny Clinton, and by proxy, Gore a foreign policy triumph before the election.
