Ann, you are saying that "the country" is on such flimsy ground, that my critique will cause a hardship? We are without any argument the strongest force on the planet, much stronger than the rest of the planet combined, in fact. Could it be that such questions cause you stress? That I could understand. These are not easy issues to digest, especially if they conflict with closely-held views. But to say citizens should follow blindly, even when they strongly suspect foul play, such as with the illegal and immoral profiteering of Bush, Inc., is rather irresponsible. Un-American, actually. True citizens, in times of strife, strive to reduce strife ... If you've followed some of my posts, you'd see that my feeling is there is a tendency of some of those who benefit from "strife", more specifically from the political and financial profits of warfare, to encourage same, explicitly or implicitly, but inexorably in any case. To put it bluntly: From what I've seen, I don't trust 'em. I do, however, pay through the nose for your right to disagree with me, for combat soldiers to risk their lives in activities that are ill-advised, and a (very) small part of the trillions in debt going towards those very same profiteers I wish to see removed from government, as fast as possible. Does that make you feel any better?
