Yah , it is a little quirky , and then it isn't . It's not so theoretical to see the Palestinians as a "tribe" and their way of life and culture essentially and deeply rooted to the land as much as any aborginal south american tribes...their roots are centuries old in that land , and not unlike the Jews , who also commited a similar mass suicide upon Masada . And in the next article he points out , the equivelent of Sesame street for the children , deals with the glory of dying by suicide , rather than give up that dream of tradition. Innnate to man I think.
