Good point NV, they're all important. I'm wondering if these semis are a sell on the news deal. Everyone already knows, NVLS, AMAT, KLAC, et al are going to be bullish, probably guide higher, the analysts and media have been pumping them for months. Maybe everyone is already long these high valuation boys?? eh??

Why would these 2 names be so important when we have MSFT
and INTEL reporting this week?

What can MSFT and INTC possibly say that's good? INTC has a forward PE of what, 80? The best they can say is that they hope the 3 year PC replacement cycle starts again soon, when everyone knows that it's dead.

MSFT is likely to say that their business is mature, their old growth rates are gone forever, and because of their new pricing policy that takes effect soon (I think July 1), businesses have been buying in advance, stealing from future sales. This with a PE of 50.

As I posted yesterday, RealMoneyPro said that chatter was that INTC will be lowering guidance this week.

These stocks are going nowhere but down, although I do expect MSFT to sink at a much slower rate.
