thanks for the posting. after i read the bill gross pimco article about ge and possibly many other us corporations using interest rate swaps to reduce their long term debt payments to short term debt payments, i was looking for a real example of the mechanics of such a deal. the example of the kerr-mcgee deal in your link helped a lot. thanks.
