Ted, <I don't get why you don't see that Hitler's treatment of the Jews was a terrorism of the highest order.>

That isn't terrorism. That is genocide, pure and simple.

<Do all the boxes and all the circles need to line up before you can make a leap of faith or better yet, think outside the box?>

Please. If anything, I've moved from terrorism being evil in itself to terrorism being a means of waging war, usually (but not necessarily) by people with evil motives. But then, that only means Israel's response is more than justified, and the Palestinians are getting their just desserts.

The sooner Arafat and the rest of Palestine realize this, the sooner they can save themselves from total defeat and humiliation. Instead, they want to have it both ways. And evil groups like Hamas will continue to thrive and seduce more of their brothers with power and "paradise."

Tejek Re..Tenchusatsu, I admit that I stretched the definition of terrorism when I said the US military intervention in Korea was a kind of terrorism but for the life of me, I don't get why you don't see that Hitler's treatment of the Jews was a terrorism of the highest order. <<<<<<<<<<

If you define the word loosely enough, you could also claim that spanking your kids is terrorism, or filing a lawsuit is terrorism. Hell while we are at it, why not use terrorism to mean giving aid to the poor? Terrorism, according to my dictionary, means "The use of force, or threats to demoralize, intimidate and subjugate, esp. such use as a political weapon or policy." How does Hilers mass killings fit into that definition? Hilter killed for the sake of killing, not to demoralize, and he had no intention of leaving anyone around to subjugate. The US had no intenion of subjugating the N. Koreans. It was the N. Koreans who wanted to subjugate the S Koreans. Interesting how you can twist facts like that around whenever you please.

How did the Holocaust liberate the Jews? I thought that 6 million of them were killed. Maybe I'm wrong.
