Haim, from your comments and the articles you referenced it is implies that the Palestinians have no basis for their fight and Israel is totally correct on all counts. Could very well be true I suppose.

After the second world war, the Moslems in India were forced to leave and go to Pakistan. They are called the Muhajars.Unfortunately, the Pakistani's didn't want them even though they were both Moslems and there was much fighting and deaths. Today the original Pakistani's in south Pakistan still fight the Muhajars and they kill a few hundred of each other in Karachi every year. It doesn't make sense to me for them to kill each other as opposed to finding a way to live together in peace, but that's their decision I suppose.

Looking backward to the early 1900's in the middle east (or to 70 AD as one article referenced) makes no sense to me either.

In the countries I've visited with conflicts, usually the vast majority of the population are just like most Americans deep down.....they want to have a decent life, be able to get a job, raise their kids in an environment that provides their children the opportunity to have a better life than themselves. Unfortunately there always seems to be a small minority who have to have revenge and can't accept compromise. From my limited knowledge, it appears that Sharon and Arafat both fit that category.

Good luck.

Tom
