KevinMark...huh? Yes, we could bounce off of a test of 1696 but for what reasons? Oversold? Short Covering? Powell brokers a cease fire? Big Deal...the fact remains these companies earnings are in freefall. The song remains the same...the "P" is way ahead of the "E" component and the psychological damage from garbage from Enron, ML, etc. is going to pull investors out of their mutual funds en masse very shortly. IRA season doesn't last forever...better get your hard hat on. I believe it is going to get real ugly soon.

I will be very surprised to see us close below 1700, and would not be surprised to see us break the down channel to the upside very soon.

Kevin:

I'd like to agree with you, but your theory is an absolute, metaphysical impossibility.

You forgot to check the augieboo oscillator. <ggg>

I'm still long on JNPR, (under water by a couple bucks a share), and unable to get out because my parents, who own most of the money in our joint account, still think that it's not a loss until you sell.

So, down the drain we go.

I'll let you know when I go bust, as that will be a great time to go long.

>>The LU's, NT's, WCOM's of the world. Watch them carry this market higher. I'm not talking doubles and triples, but 10-30% are not out of the question which would take us significantly higher for the short-term<<

If LU goes up 20%, it will be at>>Drumroll please>>

4 dollars and 74 cents.

That will save the market for sure.<g>

KM, MSFT broke the .618 re-trace of the Jan. high. That means it's dead meat. Pure and simple. Don't try to paint lipstick on a pig. It's still a pig.

Wow! This entire board is bearish, and the last time that happened we ran for weeks.

I'm still very new to trading, and quite a greenhorn, so I feel a bit strange being the one to say this but I just can't help myself.

If you have some evidence to support your contentions, I think we'd all appreciate if you let us know what it is. If, on the other hand, you are just stating your opinion based on instinct or whatever, that's okay, but would you please let us know this as well?

Thanks,

augie
