Instead of try and provide a long term solution to the problem that created Sep 11 first, while try and bring to justice the people responsible, we do not solve the fundamental problem but go into mass bombing killing in the process innocent civilians, and still do not get the masterminds of the whole thing OBL explained the problem that created Sept 11th: infidels on the holy soil of Saudi Arabia, the lack of a unified caliphate under shari'a law, and the existence of Israel in what should be the House of Islam. Could you please explain how we should have 'solved' these fundamental problems? BTW, we are working at the getting the masterminds. Atef is dead, Abu Zubaiydah is in custody. That leaves Zuhurawi (sp?) and OBL at large. Personally, I think OBL is dead, otherwise we'd have heard from him by now.

I see... It's the fault of the US that the Muslim world has an average 3% birth rate and 40% of their 1.4 Billion people are currently under the age of 18?? It's our fault that the ENORMOUS wealth the US helped many oil-producing states to create has been squandered by corrupt regimes? I can only imagine if someone like yourself had been president instead of Roosevelt when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. You would have been issuing out "Kiss a Kamikaze" bumper stickers, instead of ration stamps and selling victory bonds. Yeah.. going after the perpetrators is a great idea. But I don't see you providing any realistic mechanism for accomplishing that task without incurring ever greater American losses. As for "masculine libido reactions", I can assure you that had Maggie Thatcher been in Bush's place, we'd be seeing even less restraint. But I would be more than willing to hear how such an enlightened person as yourself would have handled a response to 9/11.. And please give details. Hawk

I doubt that there is an arable acre on this planet that wasn't at least once captured in battle from a foe that was completely and forever defeated.
