Luckily, this being New England, no one's said anything about it. THis cracked me up. Having a real New England mother who was transplanted to the South, I have seen this firsthand when it comes up against the Southern way of dealing with things. "Bless his little heart, your dog must have SUCH a serious bowel problem, Honey. I see his poop all along your fence. It just seems more than you can take care of, bless your heart, since it's been there for months. I guess you don't get much help though, do you, darlin', from your husband. He just works so hard, gone all the time, bless his heart. You just don;t worry about that dogpoop at all; the disease I got from that poop's airborn bacteria only lasts a month or two."
