You're not seeing my point... my point is that, as much as it doesn't serve my cause (nor Bush's), the literal meaning of the word "terrorism" is not quite what we use it to mean.

Z, I wonder why that is? The definition is pretty straight forward. I get worried when a culture tries to redefine a word to fit its purposes.......even when its my own.

Z - Terrorism implies you are targeting civilians.

You might find a dictionary definition but with English the real meaning is how the word is used. The dictionary doesn't really set the meaning of the word its supposed to find the meaning and then make it available for people who might need to look it up.

The dictionary definition I have is -

"The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against
people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for
ideological or political reasons."

Which would be the question of what use of force or threat of force is unlawful. Like the other definitions I have seen here the online dictionary I have doesn't mention anything about civilian targets, but I think that's a weakness in the dictionaries.
