No they don't feel defeated. Well, I'm sure some do, but the ones who are fighting are fighting out of a feeling of false hope that they'll win someday.

Except the support from other Arab states, like you already mentioned. Oh, and don't forget about outside support for a Palestinian state.

I guarantee you that the minute Hamas or Islamic Jihad detonates a nuke in the middle of Tel Aviv, support for the Palestinian cause will fall away.
