>By keeping the poor people in their current situation, and brainwashing them to believe that if they continue voting Democratic, they'll end up getting out of their terrible situation and that they and their children will continue to be rewarded. Also, this situation continues to gain everyone's sympathy. It's definitely worked. Most of the Democratic voting (95%?) media is calling the conservatives horrible people, and many successful people that were poor and did not listen to the brainwashing are afraid to speak out against this scam. The Democrats continue to get reelected, but the Democrats have done nothing to help the people that voted for them get out of their struggle.

Ewww...nice conspiracy theory... Fox News does as much bashing of liberals as CNN does of conservatives, seriously. I don't buy it. While I don't necessarily agree with many liberal solutions to social problems, I don't feel that they're due to a desire to keep people suppressed.

>There are plenty of Palestinians who live, work, and vote in Israel.

Well, sort of. Most of the Arabs who live and vote in Israel proper are Druze or Bedouins, who don't identify themselves as Palestinian. Most people that identify themselves as Palestinians live in the territories. Many did cross over into Israel to work before the intifada, but the need for heavy Israeli security at checkpoints has made that difficult- but whose fault is that? Not the Israelis'.

>The majority of the Palestinians continue to support Arafat; what have they got to show for it? Media coverage?

It's what they're going for! Note that every time Israel does anything in Palestinian territories, the Palestinians say that there has been a massacre of women and children. Not one massacre, NOT ONE, has ever been shown to have happened. Yet, much of the media is taking the Palestinians' word and saying that Israel has something to hide in Jenin. In the meantime, many in the Israeli military had been getting upset at the government's media blackout in Jenin, as the military really wanted the opportunity to prove that there was no massacre. Looks like they're getting the opportunity now, as some of the media is being allowed there.
