You're doing a good job of undermining each other. I haven't noticed that. And just by going to college, the supply is reduced. Nice to see that we agree. The problem here is not only that women are procrastinating too long, Yes. it is that men veer away from "challenging" women because they have an atavistic desire to be the superior force in a relationship. I wouldn't put it that way. I have no clue whether it is atavistic or not. I would just say that many men are unsuited to a partnership role with a woman. Those men who are disposed toward either a dominant or submissive relationship role are suitable only for accomplished women who have, er, lowered expectations.
