Vt, -- manipulate the price of oil? -- I think not... a country with an overdependence on the oilpatch, an oil-workers strike, throw in a drug lord or two and a military strong man as leader? ... a more plausible explanation would be class warfare.

I was talking to somebody from Venezuela a month ago ,they told me the economic policies were ruining business and that soon there would "political turmoil"
PS Freindship with Castro and oil wealth were also mentioned.
