I'm pretty sure in some earlier post you made a reference to the Administration hiding a tax increase through deficit spending and calling it a tax cut. I agree with that assessment. Along those lines there's this article.... washingtonpost.com a couple of passages.... In a meeting with congressional leaders last week, Bush vowed to veto spending bills that exceeded his spending targets, a White House official said. Gives you a one-liner to convey how frugal the President is. It was the same comment made during the prior cycle of the appropriations bills. From the same article.
