Yes, JDN, I agree. The military service question is an interesting one, however; since, Mr. Gore did
indeed volunteer for Vietnam. His service for 5 mos. was, of course, in the rear with the gear. It would
be helpful to know whether he was aware where & what the length of his service would be. In fairness,
it is to his credit that he did not completely avoid the duty.....as a U.S. Senator's son, I'm sure that would
have been possible. The fact that he hired a consultant to "dress" him in the colors & styles most likely
to impress the average voter, was an example of his "finger in the wind" mentality.....probably caught the condition
from his former boss. The "poll" political campaign strategy reached its zenith with the Clinton/Gore
first run.
