technology with internet supply chain mgmt levels the field the competitive field has been leveled in real time that article last week pointed it out clearly I saved it and its main premise has been on my mind the beneficiary of the level field is consumers the loser is companies who had decades of experience over charging their wide fat profit margins are now trimmed and the capital necessary to fund new equipment purchases will be forever much tighter gonna be interesting in this New Economy in 2000 we thought it meant bigtime profits as far as eye could see but what it delivered is bigtime savings to consumers and smalltime margins to vendors I believe in commodities, not products and slim margins / jim
