you missed the point, I'd rather leave holocost out of the discussion if I would not read constant comparisons from Ted. He went as far as saying that palestininans get it worse

You're lying again.

Albert Re..you missed the point, I'd rather leave holocost out of the discussion if I would not read constant comparisons from Ted. He went as far as saying that palestininans get it worse<<<<

Ted does like to change history to fit his views.

<<<<<re: Israel doesn't need the Holocost to justify its right to an existence.
well, actually that was one of the main reasons for creation of Israel<<<<<<

First of all, the beginning of the Jewish migration back to Palestine began around 1920, and reached a cresendo after the war. What I am trying to say, politely I hope, is that Israel is responding solely to present circumstances, not inflicting damage on Palestinians in revenge for past misdeeds by Hitler.

unfortunately, palestinians have nowhere to go either<<<<<<

Frankly, I see another war coming, with Israel attacking Lebanon, and possibly Iraq and Iran;, and giving part of Israel and lebanon to the Palestinians to create their state. That would put a weak state, Palestine, between them and Lebanon, and would create a smaller border. However the Jerusalem problem will have to be addressed.

Albert, Re: <unfortunately, palestinians have nowhere to go either.>

Yes, and doesn't that get to the *NUT* of the situation.

The Palestinians have nowhere to go.

In context.

Israel is about the size of New Jersey with about 1/2 the population, of which about 4M are Jewish, ~ 800K Palestinian(About the population of Trenton).

The problem is analogous to Pennsylvania, New York, Delaware, and MD won't let the inhabitants of Trenton in('cause they know they're trouble makers? or 'cause they want the fight to continue? or both?). The 4 states also hate all of New Jersey because -- ?? Trenton inhabitants want sovereignty while advocating insurrection.

This is not a tempest in a teapot.

Much less(Though I certainly wouldn't want to underestimate the inhabitants of the city of Trenton when they get on a roll.).

I wonder if the Palestinians would settle for 'right of return' >> Utah?

If the two sides don't work it out there's going to be the smell of ++napalm_in_the_morning, RSN, and the Palestinians have nowhere to go.

I'm voting for Peggy's 'Stir the pot and pray' opinion.
