Venezuela/Chavez:
While I haven't followed events that closely this w/e, I don't think it's appropriate to say that Chavez is "back", implying that he's secure again, as some on this thread have done. There were and are powerful groups arrayed against him. It seems that one or more army generals arrested him, and one or more freed him. The idea of "loyal troops" bringing him back is not credible. Troops invariably follow their commander. It seems that there's a split in the military re his status and some heads may roll or may have already rolled. There are more rounds to be fought over there, and there may be literal fighting. If Ortega, the labor union leader is still alive, he'll still be a strong opposition force. Personally, I won't be trying to trade this situation, but as someone who's fully invested, it would sure be nice to have a few weeks where favorable news dominates.
