Not quite. They aren't selling the NTAP software that drives that hardware on ebay...are they? It's the software that's special. The customer must still buy the software. The agreement is not transferrable.

On that analysis from another post... The guy is probably right that ntap will go down...but missed the point entirely. The market will probably go down into this summer. The analyst doesn't seem to have any orientation or understanding of the difference and positioning of ntap and emc. Also...as I understand it...most operating margins are down....but as UF pointed out, they have kept Gross Margins up...unlike EMC who is choking to death. Most the other margins are down because NTAP is staying as large as it can to avoid rebuilding more of the company when we recover than it has to.
