Well, Scott, I really hate to have to confess to this but I'm doing this with just a small bit of tongue in cheek. I'm actually not surprised Buckley and Buchanan are taking the positions they do; I'm just surprised to see myself in agreement. As you might know, the old whatevers in the Republican party have seen the American Jewish vote as the provenance of the Dems. And the Dems have seen themselves that way. And there are certainly few longer time Reps than these two. Novak is of the same ilk.

These guys all take serious positions with serious arguments. And, as you might expect, I think they are seriously wrong.

It's the newer generation of Reps, the Gingrichs et al, that are simply looking to gain power, who are looking for whatever hook will get them more votes, that are, in my view, only serious in their greed for power.

Hmm, what happened to the Rodney King line?
