Amit: Actually, many companies have found a clever way to deliver 'dividends' to investors without double taxation. It's called debt. A large investor can put together the equivalent of a higher dividend stock by owning a mix of debt and equity. You might consider a follow-on peice about how double taxation of dividends is encouraging excess leverage.
