My first rock concert was Pink Floyd. It was 1970 (or early '71?) at Masonic Temple in Detroit (by today's standards a small place). I was 14 years old and stoned (pot) out of my mind. The speakers were set up in a circle around the whole theatre, which made the music sound like it was actually moving in circles.

It was an incredible show.

Echoes.. Oh God- what a song! I almost forgot about Meddle!!! Ask me one day what my favorite Floyd album is and it will be entirely different than the day before- and this has been the case for several decades now with me : )

Another must get for Jane- 'Pink Floyd in Pompei!'

: )

<<"One of these days" is lyrical masterpiece <g>>>

ROTFL! Yes, Meddle is the best, although The Piper at the Gates of Dawn and Dark Side were very strong as well.

The 8.48 minute instrumental intro for Shine on You Crazy Diamond (Part 1) gets played over and over and over in my car. The blues guitar riffs.....mmmmmmm. That alone makes it worth the "price of admission".
