Jonathan, the PnFers take their gains from the middle of a rise, or try to. They do wait for a distinct buy signal, which for NVLS could not come before 51 [3 Xs up, 3 Os down and 4 Xs up would be one scenario]. There are other conditions relating to the market and sector. I once had a $20 membership with Dorsey Wright. They provide PnF charts and - most helpful - interpretation and advice. But if one does not need advice the Stockcharts PnF is fine, for free. Here's NVLS stockcharts.com PnF doesn't lend itself to ST trading. Gottfried
