Sharon didn't do it until Arafat made it necessary. And I have no doubt the Israelis will use nukes if cornered. That's what they're for. Why have them otherwise? The US would too. The Allied troops in Western Europe were heavily outnumbered in men and armor by the Warsaw Pact forces. If the Big Russian Bear had ever attacked, the US plan was to use tactical nukes to even the odds. That's why the US would not renounce first use of nuclear weapons. It was traitors like you who protested that. First use by NATO would have gotten in the way of the Communization of Western Europe. But the Arabs , if they get them, will use them in an unprovoked first strike on Israel.
