I think many on SI knew this was going on for a l o n g time! Question is, since the financial industry is a nice piece of the NY city and state economy, you really think they are going to piss these firms off all that much? I'd say some fireworks and then business as usual, which unfortunately is 'buyer beware'... Keep in mind the city government had to kiss butt just to get MER back to ground zero...

PS - Kind of like the Keating banking scandal and Penn Square bank. Other than many billions of taxpayer dollars used to 'fix things', how much did they really change??
