I don't object to the spending - just the deficit spending. If changed circumstances requires greater defense spending, the President should have the moral courage to ask the nation to sacrifice with greater taxes. He doesn't have the courage. He wants it both ways - greater spending and lower taxes. This jeopardizes future generations.

If Clinton left our country open to a terrorist attack, I would think the closing that door would have been the first priority of the bush gov not tax cuts and big oil mandating our energy policies.

We don't need to spend more money on defense we already spend too much, unfortunately most of it wasted. 9/11 proves that it is wasted. What we need is less money spent on defense to restructure our forces to be lean and mean and PRECISION ACCURATE AND DEADLY.

The Constitution of the US was for the people by the people and the premise was "FREEDOM" not defense and this Admin has destroyed freedom more than ever in the history of the US

Clinton was fiscally responsible and quite efficient from any economic and monetary standard known to humankind, quite the opposite of the Bush Admin's TOTAL FISCAL IRRESPONSIBILITY, and the markets are reflecting this mismanagement.

Well, the terrorists are a twit, and can be disposed of easily, the real danger to the American Empire is the same danger as occurred to every empire before it, and that is self destruction, by incest, greed and mismanagement.
