This is a little vague for me. It has long been a policy in the US to ban risky procedures knowing that "they" would go ahead with the research. Once medicines or procedures have developed the necessary safegaurds they find an avenue via FDA to be admitted into the US.

What is it that you imagine being "worse for us."
