When the mention of getting Bin Laden made the applause meter peg in the months following 9/11, then Bush mentioned him all of the time. Now that he seems to be evading capture it is an embarrassment, so no mention. It's that simple. This is from the same guy who said that his actions wouldn't be influenced by what the polls said. If Bin Laden is killed or captured Bush will surely be back to mentioning him daily 'till the meter starts to fade again.
