ANWAR would take 10 years to develop. If we tried, in ten years we could replace oil consumption by 25% with cleaner fuels. Within 15-20 years we could be off oil almost altogether. It is a backward view to think we can't start now and achieve this. Even Bush admitted today hydrogen cars are the vehicles of the future. Well why wait? Why fund another Osama Bin Lauden? A Saddam? Or ruin another wildlife refuge? Plenty of jobs could be created by developing hydrogen. And people wouldn't have to work in the Arctic either.
