Perhaps, unlike others here who are not particularly avuncular, Nadine doesn't wear her heart on her sleeve and doesn't need to get all weepy in cyberspace where every kind of emotion can be articulated though it may not necessarily be felt.

Perhaps her compassion for all those who are hurt by war is something she does not care to discuss.

Perhaps she doesn't think this is Oprah but a place in which to try to intelligently discuss foreign affairs.

CB, that is not fair. I do feel compassion for all civilians who suffer under their dictator's choice for war over peace and prosperity.

However, I feel little compassion for the Independent's coverage, where being a war criminal depends much more on who you are than what you do.
