Stockman, this latest war – I hope it’s the last one – is but an episode in the larger picture. I thought I was crazy, screaming from every soapbox about the ‘Israel’s right to exist’. But more recently, I got good company – President Bush. Did you hear him point out to a reporter that “there is NO “deeper” issues than Israel’s right to exist… this IS the issue!” In fact, I am rather optimistic about Mideast right now, because of Abdullah’s proposal, supported by the Arab League. Do you realize that the man VOLONTEERED this proposal? Why? He must have good reasons. And, hopefully, these reasons include “normalization".
