"Something different from what USA did to Germany, Japan, and Afghanistan?" The Palestinians are responding to a brutal military occupation that has lasted decades -- the US liberated Europe from a brutal German occupation and the US liberated Asia from a brutal Japanese occupation. Morally, we have more in common with Palestinians than with Israelis. Escalating the repression and deepening the occupation through more settlements and military incursions has nothing whatsoever to do with the wars of liberation in Europe or in Asia.
